A Message From the Local President

Dear Arizona-Utah Member:
 
We are in the middle of a busy season here, and it’s been wonderful to see so many members on set and at our events. Our committees are active and working on your behalf. But we also need your help in making our market grow. How? One way is to increase the use of our Micro-Budget Agreement. 

Want to work on a project with a friend? Micro-Budget! See a fun film challenge or script that you’d like to audition for? Submit yourself and pitch the Micro-Budget! The more filmmakers that know SAG-AFTRA has a contract to allow union members to work, the more our collective profile is raised here. You can help our local grow. More info on the Micro can be found in news item six below.

We have a number of events coming up this spring in Arizona and Utah, and this is your invitation to attend! You can register now for these events to connect with other members in Tucson, Salt Lake City, Phoenix or online:
 
Saturday, April 6, 9:30–10:30 a.m.: Cactus Connection (Tucson)
Wednesday, April 10, 9:30–10:30 a.m.: Coffee Connection (Phoenix) 
Tuesday, April 23, 6:30–8:30 p.m.: Cyber Café Connection (online) 
Saturday, April 27, 9:30–11 a.m.: Coffee Connection (Salt Lake City)  
Friday, May 3, 5–7 p.m.: Cocktail Connection (Phoenix) 

In addition, mark your calendar for our annual membership meeting in Arizona on April 14, and for an audiobooks conservatory event and contract workshop on April 20. The conservatory event will be in Scottsdale and the contract workshop will be online, so members can participate from anywhere. More details on all three events to come. 

As a reminder, Arizona-Utah Local events are always posted on our local pages on the SAG-AFTRA website here and emails are sent out to the email address on file.  If you aren’t seeing the emails, be sure to whitelist and add sagaftracommunications@sagaftra.org to your contact list. And, monitor your junk/spam regularly, as they sometimes end up there.
