Greetings Fellow SAG-AFTRA Nevada Local Member,
As of this writing, SAG-AFTRA has completed negotiations and reached an agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) for our union's film and TV contracts. The SAG-AFTRA National Board has reviewed and approved the tentative agreement, and it is now our members’ responsibility to accept or reject the proposed contract.
The contract’s high points include increasing minimum salaries, improvement to residual payments for shows streamed online, an estimated $54 million in extra funding over the next three years to the SAG-AFTRA Health Plan, increased overtime pay for stunt performers, and protection for actors around nudity and sex scenes.
It is critical for our members to familiarize themselves with the tentative agreement and cast their votes. If ratified, this contract will be in effect for the next three years. All eligible members were mailed a postcard on July 1 with a PIN number and instructions on how to vote online or how to request a paper ballot. If you don’t have your PIN, you may retrieve it at the voting website. Whether submitted online or by mail, ballots must be received by 5 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
