Today is an important day to take action. I am urging you to complete the 2020 Census and encourage your friends and neighbors to as well. The results of the 2020 Census will help determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding flow into communities every year for the next decade. That funding shapes many different aspects of every community and we need to stand up and be counted.
If you haven’t completed the census yet it only takes a few minutes and the deadline is midnight tonight, Oct. 15. This is a critical step to make sure that we can build back better.
During this unprecedented time there are many helpful resources available to you as a SAG-AFTRA member. These include The Safe Way Forward, SAG-AFTRA Foundation programming and their COVID-19 Disaster Relief Fund, the SAG-AFTRA New York Local COVID-19 Resource Page, and Free Flu Shots at the Friedman Health Center. The Actors Fund wants to remind you that the housing lottery for One Blue Slip is closing on October 19. Don't miss out on this middle-income opportunity on the Brooklyn waterfront.
