I am grateful and honored to once again be entrusted as your SAG-AFTRA New York Local President. Thank you for giving me, the members of the New York Local Board, and the National Convention Delegates from New York the opportunity to serve our incredible union. I look forward to working with our New York board and staff to continue to fight for a fair contract for our members.
In addition to elected office there are a variety of ways in which a member can serve the union. Local committee service is a great way to lend your talents, experience and knowledge of the industry to benefit the union and its members. If you are interested in serving your union on a local committee, you are encouraged to complete the online New York Local Committee Service Request Form, where a list of the SAG-AFTRA New York Local committees is provided. Committee mission statements are available here under New York Local Committees.
Please note that committee population is limited, so your request may not be fulfilled. Due to volume, only seated local committee members will be notified.
New York Local committees will be fully reconstituted in the coming months. Therefore, if you wish to be considered for service, please submit the online New York Local Committee Service Request Form no later than 5 p.m. ET, on Friday, Oct. 6.
