Dear Member,

We are mobilizing to assist our members in the face of the destruction caused by the Hill and Woolsey Fires in the Los Angeles area and the Camp Fire in Northern California. These infernos have left dozens of people dead, hundreds missing and thousands more homeless. The Camp Fire alone, now the deadliest wildfire in California history, has burned more than 7,500 structures.

As we have read and seen the heartbreaking reports of devastation, our community has pulled together. With the help of members like you, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation has stepped in to assist. The Foundation, along with the SAG-AFTRA Motion Picture Players Welfare Fund, has created a Disaster Relief Fund to offer aid to members and their families affected by calamities like the Hill Fire, Woolsey Fire and Camp Fire. The relief fund will be administered by The Actors Fund.

If you need help, please don’t be afraid to reach out to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation for more information. Click here for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Disaster Relief Fund.

If you are unaffected by the fire, I hope you’ll consider making a donation. A natural disaster can devastate people’s lives. Your donations offer those affected vital immediate assistance, hope for recovery and an opportunity to rebuild homes and lives.

If you need help, ask. If you can help, give.

Thank you for looking out for your union brothers and sisters.

Strength in unity,

Gabrielle Carteris
