As a volunteer local leader and member of the 2023 Negotiating Committee, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for your unwavering solidarity throughout the negotiation process. Your solidarity throughout our 118-day strike has resulted in a new tentative agreement with the AMPTP, which provides significant improvements and protections for Atlanta members who work under this contract.

I understand that the ratification process can be emotionally charged, and I recognize the particular significance of the 2023 tentative agreement. Every action taken by Mike Pniewski and I during negotiations was guided by the best interests of Atlanta Local members. And after our unprecedented strike authorization, 12-day negotiating extension, and 118-day strike, we are confident that this deal meets the moment and secures a bright future for Georgia. Local issues such as improvements in Major Role Minimum and a summit regarding geographic disparity are also included in this deal.

This contract contains over $1 billion in new wages and benefit plan funding, along with a new success-based bonus for those working in streaming. It is the richest contract in the history of our industry. It also includes essential protections around the use of AI, providing guardrails that protect us against today's threat of AI; guardrails that did not exist before this contract.

I encourage you to take the time to educate yourself about what this agreement has achieved for working performers. SAG-AFTRA has put together a comprehensive summary of the agreement, which you can read here - sagaftra.org/contracts2023. You can also find FAQs, AI resources, and voting information at the same link.

After you have had a chance to study the information for yourself, please visit vote.ivsballot.comtvtheatrical2023 and submit your informed vote by 5 p.m. PT on December 5,2023.
