SAG-AFTRA Nashville Local Members,
A big thank you to everyone who attended last Wednesday’s general membership meeting. Our Local Board and staff received a lot of great feedback from the membership and were thrilled by the great turnout, new faces and fresh ideas.
Many of you expressed enthusiasm for our newly redesigned and improved SAG-AFTRA Studio. We’ll be sending out information soon about workshops and training sessions for anyone interested in learning how to use either the Pro Tools or video audition studios. Remember, these resources are free to members in good standing. And don’t forget to make your voice heard on the critical Fair Play Fair Pay Act before congress (http://is.gd/fairpay / @musicFIRST / #FairPlayFairPay).
We had members travel from across our jurisdiction of Tennessee, Kentucky and Muscle Shoals, Alabama, to attend this meeting. There was enthusiasm, solidarity and a powerful desire to get involved and fight for the issues important to our union. In the future, we hope to have meetings like this more frequently, and we welcome your comments and feedback about that or any other ideas you think are important to the membership.
