On Feb. 13, 2025, dozens of SAG-AFTRA New England Local members joined their union sisters, brothers and kin from around New Hampshire in Concord to send a message to the New Hampshire Legislature that anti-union so-called “right-to-work” laws are wrong for our region.
New Hampshire SAG-AFTRA members made hundreds of phone calls to their representatives to urge them to reject these “right-to-work” bills. SAG-AFTRA members from across New England attended two rallies in Concord to stand in solidarity with members of dozens of unions and the New Hampshire AFL-CIO. In the end, the New Hampshire Legislature listened to their constituents and voted to indefinitely postpone HB 238-FN by a vote of 200–180. This means that this bill cannot be reconsidered for the remainder of this two-year legislative session.
Thank you to all the amazing SAG-AFTRA members who made the trek to Concord in the sleet and snow to stand in solidarity with their union siblings, and a big thank you to all our New Hampshire SAG-AFTRA members who reached out to their representatives! Your efforts helped keep all of New England union strong!
