New York Local Holds First-Ever Virtual Member Orientation

The SAG-AFTRA New York Local held its first-ever virtual member orientation meeting on Friday, July 15, 2022. 

The meeting included a presentation by New York Local Vice President and Member Outreach, Relations and Education (MORE) Committee Chair Linda Powell, and New York Local Board and MORE Committee members Marc Baron and Sarah Seeds.

SAG-AFTRA New York Local President Ezra Knight and New York Local Executive Director Rebecca Damon welcomed members to the orientation. Topics covered included contracts, benefits of membership, ways to get involved and how to make the most of your SAG-AFTRA membership. Staff were also on hand to answer questions about the Commercials and Corporate/Educational & Non-Broadcast Contracts, Entertainment Contracts and field services.  

The orientation concluded with a Q&A session with the members.
