The SAG-AFTRA New York Local held its inaugural SAG Awards viewing party on Jan. 19, at the School of Visual Arts Theatre in Manhattan. Members and their guests were treated to custom SAG Awards cookies and got to flash their red-carpet smiles at the step-and-repeat. EVP and New York Local President Rebecca Damon sent a welcome video message that was shown to the packed house ahead of the broadcast. The event was coordinated by the New York Host Committee, with committee members Marc Baron and Lori Hammel serving as emcees. Volunteers from the NextGen Performers Subcommittee were also in attendance and helped hand out raffle prizes drawn during commercial breaks.
