Michelle is a proud Chicana born and raised in Hollywood, CA, - with almost three decades working in film and television, she is an avid supporter of LGBTQ rights and advocacy. She has used her skills as a writer/producer/actor to create projects such as her award winning short film “Slip Away”, and most recently, directed her first film, "I Just Wish You Told Me", which she also wrote, produced, and stars in.
Michelle C. Bonilla is a winner of The ALMA (American Latino Media Arts Award) Award for her portrayal in PBS's Award Winning Foto-Novelas Series, Seeing Through Walls, and is honored to have received the prestigious recognition of being awarded the Resolution from The City of Los Angeles, Special Honoree - Latinas In Pride, for her work in the Arts and for promoting and advancing LGBTQ Rights.
Ms. Bonilla is proud to be a SAG AFTRA member for over 27 years and has served in the L.A. Local EEO Committee, is currently serving as a second term Convention Delegate, and is also a member of the TV/Theatrical Committee.
