Working in a variety of areas, Ellen Crawford is probably best known as Nurse Lydia Wright on ER. She delivered the first line of the pilot and appeared in 113 episodes including the finale. Ellen recurred on Desperate Housewives and Boston Legal. She can currently be seen starring in Boomers, available on Amazon Prime and as a webseries on YouTube. Most recently she has appeared in commercials for Prolia and Samuel Adams. Films include Angel’s Perch and The Man from Earth. English dubbing for Netflix and Amazon international content has provided fascinating work as well.

Ellen has worked in theatre on regional stages all over the country. She originated the role of Sister Lee in Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? on Broadway. 

A proud union member since 1969, Ellen first joined Actors Equity, then SAG and AFTRA in 1979. She has been in Board service (SAG and SAG-AFTRA) since 2009, focusing on labor and organizing. Ellen serves on multiple committees, is National Organizing Chair and represents SAG-AFTRA as a VP on the California Labor Federation Executive Council.
