Originally from Texas, Sheri Foster Blake (Cherokee Nation) has long been active in Los Angeles’ entertainment community.  Sheri provided narration for the Emmy-nominated Great Performances PBS special featuring the American Indian Dance Theater. As an actress, she has appeared in God of Vengeance and Maedchen in Uniform. Sheri also toured with the Native American Theater Group’s presentation of Mystic Voices, directed by Bob Hicks. Films include Oliver Stone’s U-Turn, Naturally Native, Second Hand Heart and her television performances include House, TNT’s Crazy Horse and PBS’s Coyote Waits, to name a few. First Americans in the Arts honored Sheri with a Best Supporting Actress Award for her role in Oliver Stone’s U-Turn.  Mrs. Foster Blake can be seen in the film Shouting Secrets, directed by the talented Korina Sehringer. Sheri can currently be seen in seasons one through three of The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, a Netflix series created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. Sheri is the first American Indian to be considered for an Emmy Award for her role as ‘Fern White’ on The Unbreakable Kimmy SchmidtWild Indian, written and directed by Lyle Mitchell Corbine, Jr., features Sheri as ‘Lisa Wolf.’ Sheri is most honored to have worked on Rutherford Falls with native writer and producer, Sierra Teller Ornelas. Mrs. Foster Blake just finished shooting a Duplass Brothers Production, Allies, directed by Barrett O’Brien. She voiced several characters on The Adventures of Super Indian, by Arigon Star. She served on the board of directors of the American Indian Registry founded by Will Sampson and was a founding Trustee of The First American in the Arts, founded by Bob Hicks.
