The explosion of streaming media has been a boon for consumers and has democratized and diversified the stories, images and people we see on screen, but the new business model raises significant economic challenges for the journeymen actors who form the backbone of our creative economy. SAG-AFTRA Hawaii Local Executive Director Mericia Palma Elmore will cover topics such as member benefits, contracts, Global Rule One and professional representation. As an added benefit to our Hawaii Local Members, we have a special guest: SAG-AFTRA member and critically acclaimed director Justin Chon will be joining us in the last hour for a Q & A talkstory session focused on how to break into acting in Hawaii.
