As our media industry looks to the future, we have seen the positive effects of those speaking out for diversity and content begins to more accurately mirror the American scene. However, in the diversity buzz, we rarely hear the call to include our performers with disabilities. Native Americans in the Industry: Where We Are Today

The SAG-AFTRA National Native American Committee hosts this panel discussion "Native Americans in the Industry: Where We Are Today" during L.A. Skins Fest, the premiere Native American film festival in Los Angeles. The panel addresses the inclusion of Native Americans in film and television and features professional actors, writers and casting directors.

 

Panelists include casting director Rene Haynes (The Revenant, Jamestown), actors Elizabeth Frances (The Son), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), Atticus Todd and writer Lucas Brown Eyes (Young & Hungry).
