The Nuts and Bolts of Background Actor Casting

The Background Actors Education & Outreach Subcommittee is pleased and excited to present this event. Please join us and your fellow background actors for an in-depth evening to discuss and learn the mysteries behind the background actor casting process.
 
The evening will welcome background casting directors in both TV and Theatrical as well as assistant directors from productions as guests panelists. They will be discussing and informing the background actors of the steps involved with casting background actors.

The program and panelists will cover topics including:

• How the business of background actor casting has changed throughout the years and what to expect in the near future
• The latest casting updates: availability texts, electronic submissions, etc.
• How to market yourself to casting, and more

 
Hear answers to some of casting’s most frequently asked questions, gain valuable insights to casting procedures and process, learn how each production has different casting requirements and needs, and so much more.
