Jacky Bam Bam has been with Philly’s 93.3 WMMR for almost 20 years, but has been with a Mummers division since he was 7 years old. The Mummers Parade, held each New Year’s Day in Philadelphia since 1901, is the longest-running folk parade in the United States. In February, Bam Bam was inducted into the Fancy Division Hall of Fame and received his prize at the Mummers Museum banquet in South Philadelphia. The Fancy Division is one of five categories in which the seven-time first prize winner of the Fancy’s Handsome Costume Category and his fellow Golden Sunrise NYA club members compete.
