Play Ball! Join SAG-AFTRA New York’s Softball Team

Yes, this year, as in years past, SAG-AFTRA will be fielding a softball team as part of the Performing Arts Softball League. Games are played on Mondays at noon in Central Park at the Hecksher fields just north of 59thStreet toward Central Park West Street, enter at 64thStreet. If you want to be a team member send an email with “SOFTBALL” in the subject line to newyork@sagaftra.org. Please note that by sending us an email inquiring about the softball team you are granting SAG-AFTRA permission to share your contact information with team managers Gene DeFrancis and Jack Mulcahy so they can contact you with additional information.

Games begin on Monday, April 7 and continue into September (if we make the playoffs of course), but players may join mid-season. Just email to request a tryout. If you can run, hit, and cheer loudly for your teammates, you will see some game time.
