Portland Celebrates the SAG Awards

Portland Local members and guests packed the Lake Theatre & Cafe for our annual SAG Awards Viewing Party on Jan. 27. More than 100 attendees smartly dressed for the occasion, snacked and cheered the award winners.  
 
The awards party was combined with a special event, SOS: Salute to Our Star, a benefit raffle put together by members for Portland Local President Robert Blanche and his family. Blanche received a double lung transplant in August 2018, and had an extended stay in intensive care during his recovery. The raffle, which is part of a larger, ongoing fundraising effort, featured more than 50 items and raised $2,500 that will go toward the family’s living and medical expenses while Robert is on the mend.
