Remembering Ann Fields

Dear Members:

We are very sad to inform you that Ann Fields, a longtime member of the San Francisco-Northern California Local Board, passed away on Sunday. She is survived by her two daughters, Tamera and Leslie, and three grandchildren, Scott, Bryan and Katiel. 

“Ann was as good as they come,” said Ed Vasgersian, a fellow Local Board member and good friend. 

Ann was very active on the Board serving on the Conservatory and Communications/Organizing Committees. She also was an enthusiastic participant with BookPals, which encouraged children to read. In addition to her film work, she used her writing skills to mentor Berkeley and Oakland high school students.

Ann had an infectious smile and charm. She would often wear a cap (and loved telling friends) to stand out when working background on many films shot in the Bay area. Ann was a vital part of our SAG-AFTRA family and she will be greatly missed.
