On Thursday, Sept. 7, SAG-AFTRA leaders joined New York City Council member Carmen De La Rosa and other members of the Council at the New York City Council Labor Celebration at The Hudson in Manhattan. SAG-AFTRA, the WGA and unions from other industries were awarded certificates recognizing them as public advocates for the city of New York. The New York City Council also presented a proclamation honoring SAG-AFTRA’s leadership and its contributions to the city. SAG-AFTRA was proud to join the New York City Council and the city’s most distinguished labor leaders for this wonderful celebration.
