Members from the SAG-AFTRA L.A. Local Military Committee attended the first Vet Day L.A. at the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall on Nov. 11. Vet Day L.A. is set to be an annual event hosted by the Los Angeles County Department of Military & Veteran Affairs. The day included a military program with special speakers, including one of SAG-AFTRA’s own, a resource fair, food trucks and plenty of activities. A fitness challenge was hosted by L.A. Local Military Committee Chair Jane Austin, which gave members of the community the opportunity to test their strength through timed and scored activities.

Austin said, “It was an honor to be a part of the first annual Los Angeles Vet Day. The Bob Hope Patriotic Hall team did an amazing job honoring and entertaining the veterans in attendance. The resources fair had abundant information and resources for Veterans in Los Angeles. Thank you to the L.A. Local Military Committee members who volunteered.”
