SAG-AFTRA New England Local-covered stations took home 15 regional Emmy® Awards presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Boston/New England Chapter. The 45th Annual Awards Ceremony took place on June 4 at the Boch Center in Boston. 

The list of this year’s SAG-AFTRA member winners follows:

  • Outstanding Breaking/Spot News - Single Report: WHDH 7News Boston for Bringing Titus Home (Juliana Mazza, reporter).
  • Outstanding Special Event Coverage: WCVB-TV Boston for The Holiday Lights (Anthony Everett, host; Shayna Seymour, host; and Ellen Fleming, production coordinator).
  • Outstanding Writer - News: David Wade, WBZ-TV CBS Boston.
  • Outstanding Program - Host/Moderator/Correspondent: Shayna Seymor, WCVB-TV Boston.
  • Outstanding Breaking/Spot News - Multiple Reports: WCVB-TV Boston for Double Police Tragedy in Massachusetts (David Bienick, reporter; Peter Eliopoulos, reporter; and Mary Saladna, reporter).
  • Outstanding Team Coverage: WCVB-TV Boston for Powerful Nor’easter Hits Region (A.J. Burnett, meteorologist; Mike Wankum, meteorologist; Nathalie Pozo, reporter; and Shaun Chaiyabhat, reporter).
  • Outstanding Reporter - Sports: Bob Halloran, WCVB-TV Boston.
  • Boston Outstanding Hard News Report (No Production Time Limit): WGME-TV CBS13 Portland for Ignoring Maine’s Move Over Law (Blair Best, reporter)
  • Outstanding Newscast Morning Larger Markets: WHDH 7News Boston - Today in New England for October Nor’easter (Juliana Mazza, reporter; Michael Yoshida, reporter; Chris Lambert, meteorologist; Polikseni Manxhari, reporter; Marshall Hook, reporter; and Amanda Crawford, anchor).
  • Outstanding Arts/Entertainment News: WVIT-TV NBC Connecticut for Changing a City One Wall at a Time (Keisha Grant, reporter).
  • Outstanding Live Sporting Event/Game: WBZ-TV CBS Boston for The 125th Boston Marathon (Lisa Hughes, host; Joe Giza, producer; David Wade, reporter; and Levan Reid, reporter).
  • Outstanding Technology News: WGME-TV CBS13 Portland for Connected Cars (Marissa Bodnar, I-Team investigative reporter).
  • Outstanding Newscast Event Larger Markets: WCVB-TV Boston - Newscenter 5 at 6 p.m. for Henri Makes Landfall in New England (David Bienick, reporter; Ed Harding, anchor; Maria Stephanos, anchor; Mike Wankum, meteorologist; Sera Congi, reporter; and Peter Eliopoulos, reporter).
