SAG-AFTRA Podcast: “A Real-Life Telenovela Drama”

Telenovelas are a worldwide phenomenon that draws audiences into worlds of love and betrayal, comedy and even mysteries and thrillers. In fact, the only thing that could be more interesting than the fiction of a telenovela is what happens behind the scenes in the real world.

In this episode, SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris and National Executive Director David White speak with actors Pablo Azar and Katie Barberi about the work and life of the telenovela actor. Azar and Barberi discuss their experiences in America and provide first-hand accounts of the events that led up to the historic agreement between the union and the Spanish-language network Telemundo.
