SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris and National Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland discuss updates to the Return to Work Agreement.
“Our goal is to keep our members safe and the cameras rolling.”
Gabrielle Carteris
SAG-AFTRA President
In late July, SAG-AFTRA, its sister unions and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers announced updates to the Return to Work Agreement, as well as an extension of the agreement until Sept. 30. It was the Return to Work Agreement — unprecedented coordination and solidarity between the unions and collaboration with employers — that safely got members back to work last September.
In this podcast episode, hosts SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris and National Executive Director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland present an overview of the agreement’s most recently negotiated changes and what they mean for members in this evolving environment. The modifications take into account regional transmission rates and employee vaccination status, updates to testing and PPE requirements, rules for producers’ mandatory vaccination policies, and travel and transportation requirements. In addition, Carteris and Crabtree-Ireland address members’ questions and concerns, and detail the industry’s ongoing efforts to remain vigilant as production continues.
