For its efforts during the TV/Theatrical/Streaming contract negotiations, SAG-AFTRA earns PRWeek’s highest honor.
SAG-AFTRA’s strike and its negotiations with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers in 2023 continue to earn the union global recognition from notable national and international organizations.
On May 15, the union received the Issues and Crisis Campaign of the Year Award at the 2024 PRWeek Global Awards. The awards honor the world’s best campaigns, agencies, in-house teams and communications professionals across 39 regions and territories. SAG-AFTRA Chief Communications & Marketing Officer Pamela Greenwalt accepted the honor on the union’s behalf.
The union previously received the 2024 North American SABRE Gold Award for International Multimarket Campaign on May 1. The Spanish actors union, the Unión de Actores y Actrices, also presented the union with its highest honor, the “Premio Especial” Award, during its 32nd Union of Actors and Actresses Awards in Madrid on March 11.
