DOJ cautions tech companies they could face action from regulators if they don’t find a way to fairly compensate artists, entertainers and other creators.

“SAG-AFTRA applauds the Department of Justice for fighting to protect artists from having their talents used without being fairly compensated. The principles of compensation and consent were two important negotiating points for SAG-AFTRA in our most recent deal with the studios and steamers. We encourage this kind of regulatory and legislative leadership as we aim to protect workers from the exploitative uses of these emerging technologies.”
