Submission Instructions:
As part of Screen Actors Guild and ABC Entertainment Television Group’s ongoing effort to discover and nurture a new and diverse pool of creative talent, and in keeping with SAG’s efforts to provide access for our members who have historically been underrepresented in the industry, Screen Actors Guild’s Affirmative Action / Diversity Department is pleased to partner with ABC Entertainment Television Group in their Talent Showcase series. The next showcase is scheduled to be held in New York City in October, 2004.
ABC’s Casting Project has established an industry standard in creating opportunities for new talent, with the majority of participants being given the chance to audition for a variety of ABC (and other networks’) pilots.
WHAT: Auditions for ABC’s Casting Project
WHO: Participants must be at least 18 years old. Previous acting experience/training is required, but professional representation is not necessary (actors only apply).
HOW: In order to be considered for an audition, actors and/or agents must submit headshots and resumés to:

WHEN: The deadline for submissions of headshots and resumés is May 4, 2004
ABC will review the headshots and résumés and contact selected actors to schedule an audition. Auditions will be held in New York City in July / August, 2004 (exact dates to be announced), and are by appointment only THE TALENT SHOWCASE: ABC will select a small group from those who audition based on an evaluation of performances. Actors selected will perform selected scenes to an audience of ABC network executives, casting directors, agents and industry professionals from the other major networks.
