SAG AND AFTRA TO COMMENCE NEGOTIATIONS WITH AMPTP ON DECEMBER

Los Angeles (November 30, 2004) – In a joint statement issued today, the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) announced they will commence negotiations on a new three-year TV/Theatrical contract on Monday, December 6, 2004. The talks will take place at AMPTP headquarters in Encino, California.

SAG President Melissa Gilbert will head the SAG delegation, along with chief negotiator Bob Pisano. AFTRA President John Connolly will lead the AFTRA delegation, with lead negotiator Greg Hessinger. The lead negotiator for the AMPTP will be President J. Nicholas Counter.

A news blackout will be in effect during the talks.
