On Jan. 18, the SAG-AFTRA Nashville Local held a viewing party for the 20th SAG Awards show. Space for the festivities and technical assistance for streaming the pre-show and awards telecast was graciously provided by Nashville Film Institute and its students. The NFI venue provided four areas with screens for our viewing pleasure and ample room for our generous buffet. Ballots were distributed among members to help keep track of the winners, and drawings for door prizes took place during commercial breaks.

"Spirited discussion and camaraderie were highlights of the evening, as attendees shared their impressions, both good and otherwise, of the films provided to all SAG-AFTRA members for voting purposes," said Mike Montgomery SAG-AFTRA Nashville Local Secretary. "It's always nice to hang out with old friends, meet new members and welcome new transfers into our growing local. As always, a huge shout-out goes to our staff Randy, Dee, Judy Marie and Josh for their hard work and attention to detail. Their efforts, combined with the generosity of NFI, made for a wonderful evening of food, fun and friendship. And the best part? It’s free with your SAG-AFTRA card. Because membership has its privileges."

"Remember, you can change anything you wish," said Montgomery.
