Los Angeles (April 19, 2010) - Screen Actors Guild is hosting its second indoor carnival and informational fair to celebrate the launch of its new Young Performers website. The last indoor carnival celebrated the launch of the updated SAG Young Performers Handbook in 2007. Hundreds of SAG young performers have been invited to attend the event, which features games, raffles, information booths, an interactive tour of the new website, a Wii Lounge and more. The carnival will be held at Screen Actors Guild Headquarters in Los Angeles, First Floor Promenade on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 1-4 p.m.

The SAG National Young Performers Committee has created a website specifically to educate and inform young performers and their parents about Screen Actors Guild and the entertainment industry.

Funded through a grant from the SAG-Producers Industry Advancement and Cooperative Fund, the Young Performers website features video interviews, an interactive on-set feature, quizzes, frequently asked member questions, plus an online version of the SAG Young Performers Handbook. “We wanted a place where kids and their parents could go to get information in a fun, cool way,” said committee chair Justin Shenkarow. “With the new Young Performer’s website, we’ve definitely achieved that.”

Photo and interview opportunities with celebrity guests and SAG representatives will be available. Confirmed celebrity guest include: Robbie Amell (True Jackson VP), RJ Mitte (Breaking Bad), Nikki SooHoo (The Lovely Bones and Bring It On: Fight to the Finish) and others TBA.
