- The Organizing/Events Committee is dedicated to supporting,empowering, educating and growing the San Diego Local through its numerous activities. These include, but are not limited to:
- Engaging and supporting in negotiation efforts to organize performers and media professionals that seek the benefits of representation and protection afforded by SAG-AFTRA membership
- Outreach to membership and production communities alike in order to educate both on the inherent assets, talent, infrastructure and benefits of San Diego that will promote and expand union television and film work in our Local
- Sponsorship of local film festivals and related entertainment events that may include panel discussions, manned booths with literature handouts, photo ops and media coverage in order to expand the awareness of our union’s San Diego presence, importance and influence, both locally and nationally
