San Francisco-Northern California Local President Kathryn Howell, fourth from left, and members in front of a cable car at California, Drumm and Market streets on Dec. 4.

San Francisco-Northern California Local members stood with #StrikeBBH letters in front of the historic three-way intersection at California, Drumm and Market streets on Dec. 4. SAG-AFTRA’s social media campaign, #StrikeBBH, is a nationwide call against ad agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Members throughout the country are being asked to make signs bearing the hashtag and post photos and videos online. SAG-AFTRA National Board member Bob Butler also joined the demonstration at the local office during the holiday party.

BBH has worked with SAG-AFTRA under the Commercials Contracts for over 20 years, but has recently attempted to abandon these contracts. The decision has taken opportunities away from union actors and threatened their ability to work on safe sets, earn livable wages and receive health benefits. Shame on BBH!
