Los Angeles (March 30, 2008) –The Screen Actors Guild National Board of Directors unanimously passed a resolution approving the bargaining proposal package that will form the basis of its negotiation for a successor TV/Theatrical agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

The resolution passed by the National Board of Directors of Screen Actors Guild approved the proposal package as presented, and authorized the Chief Negotiator and the Negotiating Committee to add to, modify, amend or withdraw proposals as they deem appropriate for strategic bargaining purposes.

The proposal package represents months of hard work by Screen Actors Guild members who actively participated in the process by attending Wages and Working Conditions Committee meetings across the country and who presented, discussed and submitted proposals in person and by email.

“The contribution of Screen Actors Guild members was invaluable,” said SAG President Alan Rosenberg. “Actors across the country participated in Wages and Working Conditions committee meetings and brought informed and reasoned proposals for review and consideration for this package. This is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of SAG members everywhere.”

Screen Actors Guild does not release the names of its Negotiating Committee members nor will it provide additional detail regarding particular proposals or negotiation timelines.
