What is Script2Screen?
With a goal to provide work opportunities for industry professionals living and working in Texas, the Script2Screen series is a LIVE read by professional actors of unproduced films or TV scripts before an industry audience. The Script2Screen project is committed to helping professional writers present their work to potential investors and provide a level of talent that can help facilitate casting.
 
Our scripts are selected from professional writers and/or script festival winners. They are rehearsed, directed and performed for one performance only by professional actors before industry casting directors, producers, directors, potential investors and industry pros.
 
How does it work?

• Scripts are accepted by the Script2Screen Reading Committee for consideration and scripts are chosen for presentation using a variety of criteria.
• Is the script producible in a live situation (cast size, special effects, etc.)?
• Does the script have a variety of character ages and ethnicities?
• Could the script be produced in Texas?

These and other factors are taken into consideration. The Script2Screen team committee will select a director and a producer for each script.  Actors will make up the rest of the S2S team and will be auditioned and cast by the selected director/producer.  A single rehearsal will be held on the performance date prior to the read.

If you have a script that you would like to have considered for our next Script2Screen please submit by the deadline below. We will select three short scripts of 15 pages or less. Electronic script submissions are accepted at any time for reading committee consideration. It is suggested, but not mandatory, that scripts be registered with the Writers Guild of America (http://www.wgawregistry.org/.) This registration protects your intellectual property.
