The Luminaries in Television Award recognizes SAG-AFTRA’s longtime partnership with the festival.
SeriesFest, a nonprofit that celebrates artists in episodic television, is set to honor SAG-AFTRA with its Luminaries in Television Award at SeriesFest: Season 10 in May.
In its March 21 press release announcing the honor, SeriesFest recognized the union for its longtime partnership and staunch support of initiatives that cultivate relationships between creatives and industry executives. In addition to coordinating events centered on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, SAG-AFTRA has been integral in SeriesFest’s live read programming and Storytellers Initiative, a scriptwriting competition that discovers and spotlights innovative scriptwriting and storytelling.
SeriesFest: Season 10, the festival’s milestone anniversary, will take place May 1–5 in Denver, Colorado. SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director & Chief Negotiator Duncan Crabtree-Ireland is expected to accept the award on SAG-AFTRA’s behalf at Seriesfest Sorieé on May 3.
