On July 11, 2015, your SAG-AFTRA National Board overwhelmingly approved and recommended a YES vote for the tentative agreement reached with the record industry. Eligible SAG-AFTRA members will now vote on the proposed successor agreement covering sound recordings.
Members with earnings under the Sound Recordings Code on or after Jan. 1, 2009 and who are eligible to vote were mailed a postcard on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 with ballot instructions explaining how to vote electronically or how to request a paper ballot. To view a preview of the referendum booklet online, click here.
All other eligible members who did not receive a postcard in the mail may request to vote on the referendum by emailing soundrecordings@sagaftra.org.
If you are located in Los Angeles, New York or Nashville, please join us for an informational meeting on the proposed Sound Recordings Code and the strong increases for the members who work under it. This meeting will provide members the opportunity to hear a presentation followed by a group discussion.
