On Tuesday, March 21, SAG-AFTRA members and staff spoke to Berklee College undergraduate students at the Berklee NYC Power Station about the power of unions and the ways that they help support lasting careers. The panel featured Vice President, New York and New York Local President Ezra Knight; Vice President, Recording Artists/Singers and New York Local Board member Janice Pendarvis; and N.Y. Singers Committee Vice Chair Jenny Douglas-Foote. The panelists shared stories of their journeys to becoming performers as well as the importance of the SAG-AFTRA Sound Recordings Code. Special thanks to SAG-AFTRA Senior Director, Entertainment Contracts Steve Meicke and Senior Business Representative Kimberlee Archie for their participation, and to Nona Hendryx for organizing such a successful panel.
