Special Guests Inspire at 2022 Membership Meeting

The 2022 New Orleans Local annual local membership meeting was held virtually on Nov. 14, featuring informative reports and two special guests. The meeting began with director/producer/editor Misty Talley and member/actor/New Orleans native Greg Tarzan Davis sharing their industry experience. Members asked questions ranging from “What is a casting director looking for in an audition?” to “What is it like to be in a major motion picture?” Local Board member Diana Boylston remembered local members who passed away since the last membership meeting. Local President Jim Gleason shared an optimistic view for the future of our industry in New Orleans, reviewing the local committees on which members can participate and sharing information about LFEA. National Board member Olga Wilhelmine shared the latest news at the national level. Director of Locals Administration Lisha Brock shared member tips and perks as well as union innovations, advocacy and contract updates. 

“It was very informative and interesting. And if you are not making it to the meetings, you are definitely missing out!” said new member Josh Young.
