As we prepare for negotiations with the AMPTP on June 7, we must give our negotiating committee maximum strength.
That’s where you come in.
We must stop the erosion of compensation, residuals and benefit plan contributions. As AI becomes increasingly powerful, we must protect our profession. We’re asking every eligible member to vote YES to authorize a strike. This doesn’t mean SAG-AFTRA will go on strike, but it gives the National Board the power to call one – if needed. Both the number of members who vote and the number who vote YES will be key to demonstrating our resolve.
Your TV/Theatrical/Streaming negotiating committee is focused on getting you the best deal possible. To do that, it needs to use every means at its disposal, and the authorization can be a powerful tool. Please help equip the negotiating committee for success. Vote YES for a strike authorization at vote.ivsballot.com/sagaftra2023 by the deadline of 5 p.m. PDT, this Monday, June 5, 2023.
If you have already cast your ballot, we thank you.
