Support the Florida Film & Entertainment Industry Financial Incentive Program

Dear SAG-AFTRA Member,

The SAG-AFTRA Miami Local is working closely this year with Film Florida and other industry organizations and stakeholders to get a strong message to legislators in both the House and Senate of the urgent need to secure an adequately funded multiyear tax credit program. 2015 is a critical year to show the Florida legislature that the film, entertainment and digital media industry is in need of their support.

Join us to walk the halls of the Florida Capitol Building and speak directly with legislators about how crucial funding and extending the Florida Film & Entertainment Industry Financial Incentive Program is for the livelihood of all Florida performers.

When: Wednesday, March 11

Where: Capitol Building
Tallahassee, FL

Cost: Bus and hotel will cost approximately $100. Travel is on Tuesday, March 10, and return is on Wednesday, March 11. Film Florida is also requesting that all rally participants register for Florida Tourism Day, which is only an additional $35, and includes lunch, access to a speaker event, assigned groups for walking the halls and an evening street party with open food and bar.

If you are unable to attend, our hope is that you can share this important legislative campaign message about Florida’s incentive program with those on your email lists. We must engage as many industry participants as possible to help this industry-wide campaign gain momentum as the legislative session approaches. Susana can also provide a standard letter/message that you can deliver to the legislator(s) in your area.
