Support Striking Marriott Workers

Over the past week, thousands of UNITE HERE! hotel workers at Marriott properties in Boston, Detroit, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, San Diego and Hawaii walked off the job to demand fair treatment, dignity and respect from the massive hotel chain. That’s more than 7,700 workers nationally. 

After months of negotiations where Marriott failed to make significant progress on key issues like a living wage and safety on the job, workers were forced to take action by authorizing a strike.

Walking off the job takes courage and it also takes a strong sense of solidarity. As with any strike, solidarity among all unions is critical to success and SAG-AFTRA members stand with Marriott workers in demanding fair treatment. If you’re in one of the cities listed below, stop by the picket line to show your solidarity if you haven’t already (a #MarriottStrike day of action is being planned for this Saturday)! If you’re booked in one of the below hotels, please make alternate plans to not cross the picket line until the strike has ended.
