Submissions are now open for the 2019 installment of At the Table, SAG-AFTRA and IFP Chicago’s quarterly screenplay table reading series. The series is designed to foster collaboration between Midwestern actors, writers and producers, and to build the momentum of Midwestern productions. At the Table features live table readings of screenplays in late-stage script development by SAG-AFTRA Chicago members.
Selections from 2018 include Girl With Child (Maria Abraham), The Year Between (Alex Heller), Plain Jane (Keely Wise) and Hitch Slapped (Colin Costello).
Eligibility and Required Materials
Projects and teams must meet the following criteria:
• A key team member must be a member of IFP Chicago or SAG-AFTRA Chicago in good standing.
• The individual or company submitting must own or possess all rights contained within the material. If the writer/team is not the owner of the material, necessary licenses must be provided.
• The script must be a narrative feature film in late-stage script development.
• The script must be able to be produced for less than $2.5 million.
• The script must be able to be produced locally; more than 50 percent of the film locations must be in local territory (Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and the eastern third of Iowa).
