The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Computer Lab classes can help you gain new creative and technical skills.
The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Computer Lab provides members access to free classes online. Performers can learn the basics about software programs used by the experts and receive instruction on creating demo reels, resumes and other types of content.
To provide members with more information, the SAG-AFTRA President’s Task Force on Education, Outreach & Engagement held Biz Basics: SAG-AFTRA Foundation Computer Lab Classes on May 18. The livestream was led by SAG-AFTRA Foundation IT & Creative Production Manager Jae Choe, who demonstrated how to set up a Foundation account and reserve space for upcoming programs. He enthusiastically extolled the benefits of attending lab sessions.
“There has never been a better time to be an artist because the barriers to entry are so much lower than they have been in the past,” said Choe. “You can do incredible things, and lots of members have shown me [their work] and even their own feature-length screenplays and movies [they’ve created after taking classes.]”
Following the presentation was a Q&A session hosted by Executive Vice President Rebecca Damon.
All Computer Lab classes are currently available online and open to members. To create an account or sign up for a class, visit sagaftra.foundation.
