We Need Film Jobs to Stay in Massachusetts!
We have to eliminate the expiration date of the Film/TV/Streaming Production Incentive program to keep the industry in the state strong.
Last week the House of Representatives, as part of debate on a new state budget, unanimously passed language to eliminate the expiration date of the film production incentive program. That is a fabulous first step! Now we need the State Senate to do the same.
The Senate is preparing its budget and we need our senators to know how important it is that they follow suit. There are three steps you can take to help push this forward.
1. Take action NOW and tell your senator about how important this is to keep and grow film jobs in Massachusetts.
Use this link to contact your State Senator: https://www.votervoice.net/MPC/campaigns/84691/respond
Please add your own personal story about your work and career in the film industry. Personal stories have real impact.
2. Join fellow SAG-AFTRA, IATSE 481, Teamsters, and MPC members at two virtual rallies on May 12 to learn about the steps we need to take to get this through the State Senate and what happens next.
