Take another deep dive into characters in film and theater scenes, from script analysis to a full footing.


A course to reawaken your body and inventive spirit taxed by too many instant self tapes deadlines.


Here is a space to go slow and examine new ways to move, think, listen, and play. Try out more roles that the biz may not see you doing but can truly stretch you past typecasting.


Focus on process and the freedom to fail, get constructive feedback on experiments, stretching outside of your comfort zone, overcoming rust and a De-emphasis on Results.


Work on 1 scene and one monologue luxuriously and slowly over weeks 2-8.


Class One: Bring a NEW monologue preferably with ancestral voices and experience. Movement and vocal warm-ups. scenes and partners assigned. Suggest a type of material that would stretch you past your obvious casting or typical genre strength.


Class Two and Three: Table reads before ANY rehearsal and text analysis without self tape result speed. Bring in the event, your roles function, genre, who is the writer .


Class Four: Movement warm-up and first footings, exploring the character in body and space, exercises for personalization and being present. Monologues.


Class Five and Six: Monologues off book.  Improving the Scene. Exploring On set ways to be ready.


Class Seven to Eight: The Freedom to keep making mistakes. Fully memorized. Listening to yourself and your partner Staged with props and costumes.

Please choose and prepare one scene as if for an audition; totally prepared, dressed for the part, off-book, and adapted for a taped audition environment. Bring two copies of the sides, one for yourself and the other highlighted for the reader. Bring a flash drive or SD card if you'd like to take the takes home with you.

Learn keys to make sure your self-tape not only grabs but keeps casting's attention so you can book the room and the job.
