A man and three women, dressed casually, stand behind a black table. They wear lanyards around their necks and there is a yellow SAG-AFTRA banner behind them, aslong with four flags.

The Connecticut film and television industry gathered Nov. 9 for the first Connecticut Film & TV Conference at Goodwin University in Hartford, Connecticut. The conference gave New York- and New England-based SAG-AFTRA members the opportunity to network with others in the entertainment industry. Educational panels and informative company booths allowed attendees to take away personalized career advice. The event also presented a talent showcase featuring actor monologues and live music.

From writers to producers to filmmakers to production crews, the event brought together a wide variety of entertainment professionals. Thank you to our very own SAG-AFTRA members Bob Dio, Andrea Lyman, Liz Eng and Nick Fondulis for speaking on a stimulating panel to educate attendees on the union’s role in developing the film industry in Connecticut.
