SAG-AFTRA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers began negotiations on May 5 to create a new TV/Theatrical contract for SAG-AFTRA members. The emerging contract will succeed the contract currently in place.
In preparation for these negotiations, over several months, members and staff held numerous joint wages and working conditions meetings to solicit input from members who work under these contracts. This national W&W process helped provide lead negotiators with feedback to shape contract proposals.
SAG-AFTRA President Ken Howard is serving as chair of the union’s TV/Theatrical negotiating committee alongside National Executive Director David White, who serves as SAG-AFTRA’s chief negotiator.
