The Unconventional 2019 Convention

This year marked SAG-AFTRA’s fourth national convention, themed “#unconvent!onal,” at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, Oct. 10–13.

Member delegates from SAG-AFTRA locals and national offices spent four days not only welcoming new faces and embracing friends from past conventions, but also strengthening solidarity bonds and voting on important union resolutions. Delegates received presentations on the accomplishments that SAG-AFTRA has achieved on their behalf, such as safety protocols and contract enforcement, while also emphasizing the hard work that still must be done. SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris, Executive Vice President Rebecca Damon, Secretary-Treasurer Camryn Manheim and National Executive Director David White were among the speakers.
