SAG-AFTRA Chief Contracts Officer Ray Rodriguez explains the new gains for members under the 2022 Network Television Code.
Thanks to our active, engaged membership, the new contract includes a number of wage increases and new compensation. It means a lot to hear what we’re gaining because it was hard fought.

Following the ratification of the SAG-AFTRA National Code of Fair Practice for Network Television Broadcasting, or Network Television Code, the SAG-AFTRA President’s Task Force on Education, Outreach & Engagement held the What’s New in Network Television Code: Wages livestream on July 12. SAG-AFTRA Network Television Code Negotiating Committee Vice Chair Kevin Scullion hosted the session, and leading the presentation was SAG-AFTRA Chief Contracts Officer Ray Rodriguez.
Rodriguez’s presentation provided an overview of the general wage increases and benefits under the newly negotiated contract. He also detailed new provisions that guarantee increased pay for singers and dancers performing during live events.
A Q&A session followed the presentation.
